Born from experience the Evolution Roof Top Tent caters for the serious Over Lander offering a lightweight practical system without compromise on comfort. Its construction materials make this the most suitable tent on the market for desert crossing albeit quite at home in a Hebredian Winter.
Technology now plays a huge roll in providing components to aid todays modern traveller, forever updating to improve safety and reliability. Unfortunately roof top accommodation has improved little since its introduction in 1955! Until now!
Disappointed with the performance of leading brands one seasoned traveller, with an engineering background, dared to challenge the norm? and set a new standard of performance. Working with ?a fresh slate,? uninfluenced by other brands, a Roof Top Tent was designed that would bring the Roof Top Tent into the 21st century.
So pleased with what was created his way, how apt it was to name his tent a MyWay. So impressed was I that I added ?Evolution? to express how I feel what the MyWay represents. Using modern materials and design techniques the Evolution addresses issues familiar to traditional Roof Top Tents.
To complement the Evolution, an Evolution Awning is also available.
Unique to MyWay is a vent situated in the apex of the tent. Working with the unique upwardly closing windows and doors this vent regulates airflow through the tent helping eliminate the condensation familiar to Roof Top Tents.
The tent inner and vent is separated from the flysheet by a unique 3? air gap not only aiding ventilation but, for those of you who follow Ray Mears and his desert adventures, keeps the tent life savingly cooler than ambient in hot climates.
A lot of the common ?Flapping? is also eliminated by the separation of the flysheet from the tent inner and can aid a restful nights sleep. The fully waterproof and windproof tent sail and inner are also supported by tensioners that can be adjusted according to differing climate conditions.
It is likely that your Roof Top Tent will spend the majority of its useful life aiding in the pursuit of outdoor activities in our own temperate zone. Most tents built in S. Africa do not cater for the Great British weather. Dry climates have little effect on canvas, steel and wood constructions yet here can result in the unpacking of mildew covered, smelly, rotting tents limiting their useful life.
The Evolution with its Oxford, alloy and polypropylene construction allows the tent to be packed down wet for longer periods, dries quickly and resists Rot and Mildew.
Constructed from Oxford Nylon (Yacht sail) aluminium and polypropylene, from only 35kg “The Evolution” is almost half the weight of its competitors and can be mounted on most available roof bar systems without the need for expensive suspension upgrades. Most importantly “The Evolution” does little to compromise the vehicles stability if considering an overland trip.
With a pack down size from only 200mm including bedding, shower curtain and ladder, the Evolution reduces wind resistance over its competitors that can make a substantial fuel saving on an extended trip.

As the picture above shows, the Evolution guarantees a genuine one person set up. Its modern lightweight materials and draw cord system allows set up and pack down casually within 5 minutes.
