Graham Spark
Biography
Despite being a more recent 'addition' to both the MyWay Team & world of Over Landing, I can still safely say that my passion for the great outdoors & adventure has always been there, it’s just taken me a while to take the plunge fully!
With parents that have always traveled extensively & lived abroad all my life, I was either going to become firmly routed in one place or develop a similar wanderlust – the latter won! Also, being born & raised in East Africa, it was no surprise that I started a particular lifelong love affair with Africa. Camping & outdoor pursuits became an integral part of my early life & I have taken every opportunity since to explore & learn about our world – backpacking around South America in my gap year; living in the Philippines, Guam, USA & Hong Kong; trained as a Game Ranger Guide in South Africa & more recently taking my wife & trusty 110 Defender on a 14 month Trans-Africa trip from London to Cape Town – fulfilling a life long ambition.
It was while preparing for this latter trip that I met Paul & the MyWay Team, when we purchased an Evolution 1.4; their knowledge, friendliness & passion not only helped Clare & I complete our dream trip but they have also helped us take the next step & set up Saharan Explorations (www.saharanexplorations.co.uk), where we hope to share some of our knowledge & experiences with other like-minded people on guided self-drive adventures thru North Africa. As Paul often says it is all about a ‘lifestyle’ & I am delighted to now be a part of this great ‘family’.
